John Marshall Katheder (who sometimes writes as just ‘John Marshall’) grew up in Windermere— a small town in Florida where he was briefly employed as an alligator wrestler. He began writing for local publications while still in high school.
He graduated from Brown University in 2012 with a degree in English focused in non-fiction writing. While in college, he was editor-in-chief of Post- Magazine, the school's official alternative weekly. He also contributed to the satirical Brown Noser, and reported on arts & culture for The Brown Daily Herald.
John now works as a creative copywriter and content strategist at Ogilvy UK and a freelance journalist, focused on arts & culture.
He lives in London.
